People. Passion. Purpose.
Together, we help women expand their goals and then surpass them.
Your peers are a wealth of information on everything from how to position yourself for more responsibility to evaluating an overseas opportunity. All you have to do is Lean In and learn.
Lean In Circles are small groups of peers that meet regularly to engage with and support one another and help women step outside their comfort zones and grow through adult learning and peer mentorship. And they work: 85% of members credit their circle with a positive change in their life.
WFF partnered with Facebook to launch online Lean In Circles with Partner companies around the nation. The WFF Lean In Chapter has more than 40 Circles with hundreds of members. Monthly communications are sent from WFF staff to the Circles to support sharing of topic ideas, Circle outcomes and best practices.
You can participate in an existing WFF Circle or start a new Circle inside or outside your company. Activate your Circle today and Lean In with WFF and Facebook.
Here is how:
Happy networking! We hope to see you at one of our upcoming events.
Community is at the core of WFF as we recognize that sharing challenges, expertise and life experiences strengthens each of us. Our online communities connect working women with shared interests and challenges to help them grow professionally and personally. By connecting with colleagues navigating similar life or career stages or committed to exploring the same social or career issues, we enrich one another’s journeys.
We have seven online communities where you can engage with like-minded leaders to get advice, share solutions and grow personally and professionally. Consider which COI resonates with you most and join the discussion!
During our annual conference, Communities of Interest members also have an opportunity to get together in person.
This community helps spouses, partners, relatives, friends, neighbors and others learn more about the financial, physical and emotional impacts of caregiving. This network of professionals shares their lessons learned, feelings, experiences and resources for caring for people of all ages.
This community provides an opportunity to increase your knowledge, while offering support and resources to members connected to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender and Allies community. Connect with your colleagues to learn facts, figures and to read each other's stories about the GLBTA experience or share your own, and discuss how to create more inclusive personal and work environments.
This community offers support and resources to members connected to the military community. Here, you’ll find information on transitioning from the military work environment to civilian work, and gain access to several resources about facing the challenges of deployments, homecomings, coping with injuries and grief.
Women of Color
This community offers opportunity, development, information and education on how women of color have thrived, survived and re-created themselves within corporate settings.
This community is intended to help women find success and balance as they strive to advance in their professional career while raising and caring for their children at home. If you're a WFF working mother, and constantly balancing the needs of work and family, then this is the community for you. Reach out, connect and help other working mothers by sharing mutual experiences and potential solutions to complex issues.
This community provides training opportunities, career planning and access to resources for young professionals in the foodservice industry. This is a great opportunity to build networks, share best practices and tap into a support system.
This community provides a network for international business travelers, those that have taken international assignments, or are considering an international assignment. Here you will receive practical advice, timely information, relevant resources and insights from your colleagues who have experience working outside of the United States. Through discussions on this site and social media, you’ll find out about career growth opportunities, learn about the benefits and challenges of an international assignment and more.
WFF Governance/Nominating Committee
When we work together toward common goals, we can make a vital impact on the future of women in our industry and the world. Throughout the year, we offer numerous avenues to get involved with WFF through volunteer activities that provide unique leadership opportunities and the chance to network with industry peers and leaders.
Volunteers play a critical role in helping to promote our Leadership Development Workshops (LDWs) in each host city by reaching out to local contacts and expanding connections to the larger food ecosystem. Volunteers also support our efforts during Executive Summit, our annual conference and throughout the year when we seek out support around particular projects.
Of course, our distinguished Board of Directors is also comprised entirely of the industry’s most senior leaders who generously share their time and expertise on a volunteer basis to support our work in advancing women leaders.
